...AND WE...
...headed to Arizona to be with Daddy and his family.
It was a big week/year for Landon's little brother Logan. It was fun to be apart of at least some of the "magic". I met Logan when he was 14. He has changed sooo much since then. He is a pretty cool kid. This week he was named MVP on his track team, offered a spot on BYU's track team, graduated from seminary and graduated from high school. Right now he is in Hawaii on his senior trip with his parents and then will head to Santa Cruz, Bolivia in three months for his mission. Pretty crazy week for Logan and his parents. We are all so proud of him.
We had fun in AZ!! And we were so glad Lace decided to stay 2 extra days. (Thanks Cory)! And Leah, even though we didn't get pictures of Sushi, Rubios, Gecko grill, The Incredibles, The Princess Bride, and Bahama Bucks, we still had a blast with you:).
And now.... after completing Jaxson's 16th flight, we're back in Indiana!
Sometimes going home to nice big cozy homes reminds me of all the things we don't have. My camera won't turn on tonight. All the pictures above are from my sis-in-laws blog/my moms camera.
I finally stopped trying to turn on my camera and went up to my crying baby (whose having a hard time falling asleep) to sing to him. While rocking him I began a "wish-list" in my head of all the things I wish we had. It included:
- A king size bed
- A working camera (a really nice canon would be even better)
- Another car
- An iPhone for me
- An iPhone for Landon
- A grill
- A working dishwasher
- HGTV
- ESPN
- A DVD player
- A Vitamix
- A baby blue Kitchen Aid
- Beaters
- A non-broken cheese grater
- A non-leaking washing machine
- A non-leaking toliet
- A big grass-filled yard
- A tub that doesn't have yellow stains all over
- A nice razor, one with soap all around it
- A Zoo Membership
As I was making this list my little boy sweetly drifted off to sleep on my shoulder. I just stared at his perfectly motionless little face. I may not have a really long list of things, but I know that I would never. not. ever. ever. trade my little boy sleeping on my shoulder for anything.
Possessions will come and go. I'm sure we'll eventually have everything on that list. But right now, today, and for eternity, I have a wonderful husband, a beautiful healthy boy, two incredible families, the true gospel, and my Savior. And that should be enough.
Forever.
Forever.
Happy Sunday.
