Rejuvenation

This weekend has been soo rejuvenating! I'm so grateful for the chance we had to go and do work for some of Landon's family in the temple. I'm grateful for the two hour drive there and back to catch up and talk with landon! And of course crazy grateful for BYU football. Which made our whole week exciting with anticipation! 

Landon:

Landon worked 66.5 hours M-F plus and extra 14 hours of study M-S. He woke up every morning at 3:55am. He was out the door by 4:30am. Then hospital from 5:00am-6:45ish pm. Then home, dinner, study for and hour and a half, bed by nine. I'm sooo stinkin proud of this guy. His hard work has just made me want to work harder. It was the greatest news when he got home two minutes after the bYu game started (7:05pm Friday) and said he didn't have to work Saturday. I'm even more grateful for his decision to sacrifice study time to go to the temple with us. I married a good good guy people, the best, and yes it was our 5 year anniversary this week! Woot woot. 

Becca:

Since Landon goes to be soo early, and some nights I'm not even home by the time he's asleep(mutual), I've decided to wake up with him in the morning and heat up the "breakfast-on-the-go" breakfast I prepared this week, make his smoothie, and say pray with him. It takes me a while to fall back asleep after that, so I've been able to listen to a couple conference talks in the mean time. It's really changed my days and my attitude! I was also able to go make and deliver cupcakes with my Mia Maids! I went visiting teaching with my companion Amber and visited some wonderful women! I watched a movie on our anniversary (Landon was asleep) and I prepared all day Friday for the big BYU game. We won!! 

Jaxson: 

We paused our letters this week, to work on numbers. He struggles with his numbers. We made a goal together to not watch tv until after quiet time (4:00pm). He's been an all-star and I'm proud of him. He is so stinkin in love with his daddy. And can't wait til he comes home so he can sleep(aka play in bed quietly before he crashes) and daddy can study right by him. He loved watching the football game, and I think could tell how happy his parents were so he was overwhelmed with joy, that is until he passed out on daddy's lap during half time! He got a little sick Saturday. But seems to be doing better today! 

We

Saturday, of course we went to the temple. We got home around two and Landon needed to study. So jax and I played in his office so we could just be in the same room as him. It was a fun five hours (I read some allligiant and jax played with his fishing pole. We also read lots of books.) We also cleaned the church. By 7:30pm jax was in bed and Landon and I talked, cuddled, and watched a few shows! Such a great Saturday. 

Now it's off to church we go! How we love this gospel!

52 Random Facts About Us

I decided to take a break from our normal update. It's the same, we are all happy, Landon's busy and the church is true:). 

All week when I thought of a random fact about us I wrote it down. Here is our list:

Becca

1. I hate white noise or loud noise that I'm not in control of. Like a fan in a bathroom. It makes me really claustrophobic
2. I love writing words in a really cute way. I could probably decorate letters for the rest of my life. 
3. My greatest purchase in life has been my orange pants 
4. I'm obsessed with finances and budgeting 
5. I can not figure out how to sleep on my side for the life of me. The last two months of pregnancy I just didn't sleep. I'm in the most awful habit of sleeping on my stomach. It's the only way
6. I brush really hard and the consequence is that my toothbrush bristles all point out instead of up
7. I interviewed for a total of nine jobs in my life and worked at all nine of those places (I took an entire class in interviews and resumes because I love them so much) 
8. Abuse, particularly teen dating violence, is my favorite thing to study about. Ive read soooo many books and articles about this topic. I was a Rape Crisis Advocate for Utah for over three years. (Landon joined me the year and a half before we had jax.) 
9. Being in leadership and organizations is a huge passion of mine and one that I haven't figured out how to mix in with motherhood (I know it happens all the time, I just haven't figured it out.) 
10. I hate clothes shopping
11. The reason I love BYU sports so much is because it makes my husband soooo happy;). I figure i should join the happiness 
12. I'm obsessed with new school supplies. I could spend the month of August in Walmart in the school supplies section 
13. When there is a buffet with a variety of desserts, I think they all look disgusting. 
14. I love being alone
15. I've named all 24 of my journals 
16. I love being in the corner, it gives me the best view of the rest of the room
17. I always have my feet up on the seat when I'm in the car. I take my shoes off the second I get in the car and sit cross legged no matter how long the trip is
18. I feel prettiest/most comfortable in a t-shirt(like a basketball shirt) and jeans and my hair freshly blown dry and strengthened
19. I don't really like movies, they're too long

Landon

1. Landon can't sleep unless the blanket and the sheets are in line with the bed. OCD? Yes
2. Landon has committed to only buying BYU clothing for the rest of his life
3. If we had money, he'd golf, daily
4. Landon puts things away the second he is done with them (I don't know if I've ever picked up his socks) 
5. Landon's favorite class at BYU was his gymnastics class, and yes he can do a backflip
6. Landon is incapable of saying no to jaxson. Jax melts his heart like non other
7. The four websites Landon checks daily are: cougarboard, ESPN, and foxnews, Clarin.com (argentine news paper) 
8. Landon seriously considered seminary teaching before he decided to become a doctor
9. Lando gets soooo car sick when he isn't driving. Therefore in our relationship, he always drive
10. On long trips Landon's snacks are beef jerky(non name brand!) dr. Pepper, and sunflowers 
11. Landon can fall asleep in less than thirty seconds, I've clocked it
12. Landon has never ever raised his voice at me, he controls his temper better than anyone I've ever known. Really he controls his emotions so well (stress, heart ache, anger, etc.)
13. Landon craves chips and salsa always 
14. He is a really precise cook and measures every little thing 
15. Landon loves trees and leaves sooo much! He wants everyone to appreciate all their little details
16. This is an "us" one, but when we have money we will travel, we will live in a smaller home so that we can travel more 
17. Another "us" one is that we don't really like animals, at least having them in our house(don't hate us!)

Jaxson 

1. Jax sleeps on the very very edge of his bed, almost to the point of falling off
2. Jax hums while he eats 
3. He sleeps with his blue blanket right side up, straightened out perfectly, under his head. During the night he balls the blanket up into a pillow ball
4. He loves hiding under pillows and blankets in a really right space 
5. When jax wakes up, he opens his door, turns off his white noise, goes to the bathroom, and then sits back in his bed and says, "mommy. Come get me please!!" Then he waits. It's adorable 
6. Jax is obsessed with medicine, seriously it's like a joy when he's sick and he gets to have it
7. Jax has to lay down and have us sit on his tummy when we brush his teeth 
8. Jax loves the nike sign! Sooo much
9. He loves his Daddy soooo much. We moved him into Landon's office while Scotty was living here. We aren't going to move him back. Every day he says to me, "Mommy, I sleep. Daddy study."
10. He has to line his cars up perfectly 
11. He loves taking the trash to the dumpster 
12. Jax is really independent 
13. His favorite clothes are a t shirt and basketball shorts 
14. Rescue botts is his favorite show right  now
15. Jaxson is really obedient
16. He hates having his hands dirty and it really bothers him when there is something on his hands like a marker
