Slept With the Spray Bottle

Lando:
Worked about 75 hours this week. He was scheduled to work on three Sunday's this month but he was able to switch with the other intern to work all Saturdays. I was proud of him. Of course he wanted Sunday's off, but Sunday's never seem to be as restful in the same way that Saturday's are. But in a spiritual way they are so needed. He still managed to exercise three times this week. We also went to the temple together on Thursday and sealed a family together and Landon took me on the most magical date last night to one of our new favorite restaurants. He also said that Saturday was the first day where he felt like a doctor. Taking care of patients can do that to you :). Oh and he's currently preparing his talk for church today. He's busy!

Becs:
I've been reading Heaven is Here and I love the perspective it gives me. I took the boys to the lake Friday and Saturday by myself and it felt good to create memories for our boys even if Landon couldn't be there. We did invite friends to come with us Friday, but were solo Saturday. I did a little family history and love being in the temple and date night with Landon. And it's peach pie season. So we made some and took them to our new friends home. Where they graciously fed us an Argentina dinner too. Jax loves their little girls. And we already think the world of them'

Jaxson:
Finished off swim lessons strong by jumping off the diving board and swimming to the ladder by himself. He scored four goals again in soccer. But was scored on for the first time in 6 weeks. It was basically 4vs1. He had a blast at the lake both days. We all did. He's my little helper.

Ty:
Was so sick this week with 104 temperature at some points. I knew he was first sick cause he sat on my lap all during Jaxs swim lessons. But finally after three days of fever he started feeling better and eating again. He did so well at the beach, but did come home with a nasty sore on his leg. He still screams but he's able to point and scream to the things he wants at least.

Our cute house:
The house was 95+ degrees inside at some points this week. It was hot and miserable. So we slept with the spray bottle and every time the fan reached us we would spray water to feel a little cooler. My parents actually had a condo that they ended up no using so we spent Friday night there and it was heavenly and a tender mercy!! This week should be much more manageable. It's only in the 80s all week. Phew!

Coeur d'Alene

Lando:
He finished up his first rotation of residency, Pediatric Cardiology. He has also been working out really consistently and he's loved that. He's also starting a little side business with my brother Nate. Tomorrows rotation begins and its house staff. Which is hard. Six days a week, 12+ hours a day. He's nervous, but he's got this!!!

Becs:
I've been working on my book and plan to have the first draft completed by August 31st. I was able to go to the temple! I'm loving this mom life in the summer, it's amazing!!!

Jax:
Has been loving this summer. He's getting a little better at swimming though it's still very much a dog paddle. He kicks butt at soccer still.

Ty:
He is hilarious. His hair. He brings so much joy to our life. He's the best little sleeper. Still no words but he's good at pointing.

Coeur D'Alene:
My parents came up for a week and are in Coeur D'Alene. They invited us over for the weekend. It was amazing. The park was incredible. Main Street so fun. The lake was gorgeous. We went biking and boat riding and swimming and tubing and eating. It was the best weekend before a busy busy busy 8 weeks.

We also had the Farrars come and visit us right before church on Sunday. We love that family and are blessed to know and learn from them!!!

Summer

Summer has been wonderful so far. It's almost been amazing weather and we've been having the best time with soccer, baseball, swimming and biking.

Ty:
He loves having his shoes on. He loves drinking from water bottles. He can make a bear, dog and fish sound. He winks and waves. He's like a cute little dog with lots of tricks right now;). Haha!! But we love him more and he's not a dog oh and he screams a lot. Dogs don't scream.

Jax:
Monday Jax was the sweetest boy he's ever been. I wrote about it in my journal, but he saved me from multiple melt downs. Happy screaming babies wear on you. He got to go to a birthday party this week for his friend Cal. Their family is wonderful. He also scored four goals in soccer making the final score 4-0. Hes killing it.

Becca:
I finished a book this week. I went visiting teaching and took a meal to a new mommy. I also took watermelon to a relief society hike and then left because I really wanted to spend the Saturday Landon had off with him!! Family first right? I'm so glad I did, we had the best Saturday.

Landon:
Has been exercising regularly. Went to the temple Thursday. Is currently preparing his lesson for church. Likes his rotation because of its hours. He took me on a date Friday. We just explored Spokane a little more. And we had a super fun Saturday, I'll just say that again. The whole Pokemon go thing is crazy though. We saw so many people doing it when we went biking by the riverfront.

That's all:).
