Christmas 2019

This Christmas was one I will never forget. It was for sure one of the most magical Christmas' for our family and me personally. We thought it was going to be a simple Christmas, and in so many ways it was. But by the end of Christmas day our home was filled with gifts, letters, food, love and the spirit. I just cried tears of joy. It was this overwhelming feeling of immense gratitude and humility, in fact the next morning we woke up and said a long family prayer for all of our blessings from Jesus to secret santas to christmas cash to the Cinnamon rolls mummy made for us, we were grateful for it all. I am still  so blown away by the blessings of love, service, and gifts from so many people. I also felt so much closer to Christ as I have studied the New Testament this year--he is ever present and hid birth has made my little life so beautiful.

It really is A WONDERFUL LIFE that we have.

Me: Boys did you have a good Christmas
Ty: Um....Now... I am pretty sure I love Christmas more than Halloween

If you know Ty at all, you understand what this statement means. I hope you all had as merry of a Christmas as we did!!!!

So many tears every time I watch this movie

This is what we collectively got our little family. Plus 2 bikes for Jax & Ty

And this is what people collectively got us. I cried all night as I just started at this stuff from the couch. It wasn't the stuff as much as the feeling of love from so many that I was touched by. I'll never forget this.

Love is Christmas

Landon:
His CV month is over! Which is really exciting. He did love it though. At the resident interview dinner on Thursday, one of his co-residents told me that he overhead a surgeon and an anesthesiologist talking about Landon and how they wish he wasn't going into PEDS because he would make an excellent Heart Anesthesiologist. I love hearing things like that. I'm amazed at the person I married. I knew he was amazing and good when I married him. But I didn't know how amazing or how good.

Becca:
I spent all day with Landon yesterday. Yay! It was the happiest of days. Costco+Basketball practice+Smiths+Saturday Chores+Haircuts+Ornament+Books+Christmas Party+Soup+Talent Show+Date Night+Knives Out!!!!!!!!!!!!  Wendesday night I went to Whole foods to work on my book, Thursday night I went to the RS Christmas Activity, Friday night I went to the nutcracker with my dad. 27 years. Ty made me a house with a yard and a sunny sky and it was the sweetest. I text my dear friend Elise about how she remains so happy and positive all the time, her response was absolutely mind shifting. We love the Peterson family so much, and the impact of goodness they leave on our souls. Sarah and I talked a lot this week about how hard it is to feel the Christmas Spirit as a mom, she sent me this song by Sara Bareilles and i'm obsessed. Love is Christmas

Jaxson:
He got 100% on his spelling, geography and math tests. He is working through some of his recess drama and I'm proud of him for that. He got to go and play at a church with some of the kids on his basketball team. And his team won on Wednesday. Reading a crazy amount of books. I think he read 4 books this week. In the middle of his 5th, currently cuddled up on the couch.

Ty:
The boys all got haircuts, and Ty picked his out and he looks baller. He showed his coloring Rudolph for the Christmas talent show. He beamed with pride. His quite the artist in my opinion. I tried to follow Maddie's example and just pepper him with praise all week. He is such a good little dude. For one of our #ComeFollowChats we did the Marshmellow experiment, and Ty and Jax both nailed it. Luke just ate away at his Brownie in seconds. Also, Ty when getting his haircut overheard someone else getting their haircut talk about how they were hit by a car. Ty listened intently and then shared it all with us. He is so aware.

Luke:
It is so fun to watch him watch his brothers. He eats like them, and sits like them, and draws like them, and tries to be just like them. And that is not a bad thing, its the most wonderful scene in the world. Luke shoved popcorn kernels up his nose and it was almost a diaster. But with prayers and Jax's help, I was able to finally tweezer them out.

This has nothing to do with me, but I thought It was the most darling picture of my Niece Hallie and Mummy@
