A Spirited Thanksgiving!!!

We had such a fun vacation in Arizona! The weather was gorgeous. We love our family!!! The boys both ran a 10K and Luke a mile. Jaxson took third in the 11-13 category. Ty was the only kid under 8 to run a 10K. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. We watched Spirited TWICE. A new favorite Christmas movie. Drove 42 hours in 8 days. Watched all 3 car movies. Enjoyed church and being home today. I took a 2 hour nap today. And tomorrow is my birthday + Landon has most the week off. Sooooo I'm feeling pretty SPIRITED lately :) OH and we set up for Christmas today.

(the only sad thing is Brigs is allergic to the world. I need to figure that you.)

Prepping & Driving

We are about to finish 41 hours of driving from Spokane to Mesa. We listened to a full book, Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH. Watched church. Watched Incredibles & Cars. Listened to the most fascinating podcast about the failure of sexual revolution. Talked about the priesthood. And about playing basketball on Sundays. Took naps. Played the ABC game and GHOST. Talked about companies that make money off producing products that are bad for its consumers. People always think I’m crazy for driving so much. But you don’t get family time like this on an airplane.

Lando:

He has some really crazy anesthesia days. One where he was supervising a bunch of high risk patients and one where he had a lot of heavy kid cases. He loves doing kids. He took me to Blue Man Group for our late anniversary date. We also went out to dinner with the Marcusens—which is a highlight of each month. Landon backed into our babysitters car that night. But ended up not damaging her car, and just cracking the Prius. He took us all to Takashi and Ruby Snap once we go to SLC. Then we went and spent that afternoon with the Curtis family. Sometimes I’m sad that Landon gave up the job in SLC because he would have been working with his BFF and doing 100% kids. But compromise happens everywhere you choose. And we got a lot of what we wanted in Spokane, even though it came with some downsides. (I.e. darkness &  no BFF.)

Becs:

Speaking of darkness. You guys, spokane is just dreary sometimes. But that’s okay because I have friends that lift me up!! Lindi came over on Tuesday randomly and I can’t tell you the happiness it brought me. Plus any time I’m needing a pick me up I can always find a walking/running buddy. I got us all ready on Thursday. Which is just a lot of work. And I picked Landon up from work 4 minutes after he was ready to go. Im a baller. Spending time with the Curtis fam and my family made me happy. Scotty & I had a hilarious tie breaker, which I lost 5 times. Johnny and I played dork and Gary took us to see his new house. I love my brothers and their wifeys so much.

Jaxson:

Lots of basketball, always wanting to get better. He’s so fun to have around and talk with these days. He loved sushi, rock climbing, and playing games this weekend

Tyler:

Finished soccer, and excited for the World Cup! When he is sad or overwhelmed he turns to crafty building things. He also loved sushi, rock climbing and taking second in the card game

Luke:

Finished soccer and then got sick. But he was able to get over it before we got to AZ (we pull into Landos parents house in 38 minutes.)

Brigs:

Cars and allergies. His poor little face when he eats certain things, though I don’t know what things.

We are sooooo excited for a warm arizona thanksgiving!!!! My first ever!!!
