Week 21: Our 2020 Review & Hello 2021

 What. A. Year.

A year that will be remembered by all.

JANUARY:

Landon went to Ghana, Jaxson won a basketball game against his first real bully, Ty had a sleepover at Hallies for her birthday. It was cold.

FEBRUARY:

We went to Arizona and helped Landon's parents move out of their home. First time that Landon and his dad had been together for their birthday in 10+ years. Jaxson finished up his basketball season and I was relieved to be done coaching.

MARCH:

I found out I was pregnant, potty trained Luke, and the world shutdown (including schools) because of COVID all in the same week. Honestly reviewing March just gives me an insane amount of anxiety. Also 5 days later SLC experienced its biggest earthquake

APRIL:
Luke turns two. Landon is no longer chief. We started going to temples each Sunday.

MAY:
We went to Monticello for Landon's week off (to help in our every temple in Utah endeavor). Ty turned 5. We found our home in Cincinnati. I cut my hair and was so sad about it, We went to the Curtis's cabin.

JUNE:
Protests began over the murder of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breoanna Taylor. SLC was put on a curfew. We packed up our apartment. Jaxson's school had a parade for kids to wave goodbye to their teachers. We went to Bryce Canyon. LANDON GRADUATED RESIDENCY!!!!!!

JULY:
We said goodbye to SLC and our 800 sq/ft apartment. Moved our stuff to Kentucky. Stayed in my parents basement. Spent the a week watching Nate & Sarah's kids. Went to Lagoon with the Wennerholms. Played pool nightly in my parents basement (Becca, Erika, Logan, Jen, Scott, Mom & Dad joined often).  Finished our Utah temple tour at the Timpanogoes Temple while saying goodbye to the Curtis Family.

AUGUST
Went to Leah's baby shower. Landon finished working at the U. Took Ty to the Parade of Homes. Said goodbye to family. Family Reunion in Glacier. Then we moved across the country to Kentucky/Cincinnati (said hello to the Hobson's on the way).

SEPTEMBER:
Landon started fellowship. Boys started online school. We went to the Smokey Mountains. The three big boys went back to Utah for a weekend. Landon got a blessing from his dad as he was considerably overwhelmed with boy fellowship and finding a job.

OCTOBER:
Jaxson turned 9. Landon interviewed and accepted a position at the Providence Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane Washington. Mummy & Papa came to visit. The boys started in-person school.

NOVEMBER:
BRIGHAM IS BORN. We are indebted to the Thorup's for watching our boys and my mom for helping with the transition. Boys back to online school.

DECEMBER:
I have the best 6 weeks of my life with my four beautiful boys and Landon. My parents come to visit.

Becca's new year's resolution is to become digitally organized
Jaxson's new years resolution is to be able to dribble through his legs perfectly

Luke is eating food. Brigs is kicking his feet and grunting and I've been taking way to long on this recap blog so I can't really give my normal "Hello 2021" attention, cause lets face it, my life is full and priorities need to be adjusted a little.

Week 20: Nana & Popsie Visit

I don't think I could have been any happier with all my boys and my parents under one roof. It was the best. I love them soooooo much. Its amazing as you get further into your own life, your appreciation for your parents and grandparents grows and grows. I just feel like I was given the world because of them. I will never be able to pay them back, but I will continue to forever be more and more grateful for them.

They took the boys on adventures, watched the boys while I went to the doctor and grocery shopped, played games with us and sat and chatted. It was a week from heaven and I can't wait til the next time they visit!

Luke would not share food. He won't share food with anyone. This was a hilarious moment. My dad then went and bought donuts for everyone and wouldn't share with Luke..... for about 2 minutes. Oh Luke.
