Landon:
His call week was this week. And for the first time in his life he took come caffeine pills. He did a lot of epidurals which he enjoys. His toe nail fell off. He got the official letter from the Boston Marathon. So we booked a trip there. We spent a lot of the week reserving vacation for 2023. He mowed the lawn and took care of the yard. Someone asked me today how my week went and I said "it went REALLY well" and she was wondering why I said REALLY and its because I had a lot of time with Landon. Oh Landon also bought himself a bike so we had lots of family bike rides.
Becs:
Temple trip with 15 sisters in the ward. The highlight of my week of was date night with the Marcusens. They are incredible and they open up apart of me... I just can't explain it but date night with them is something I look forward to every month. But another highlight was General Conference and Conference Waffles. We had 100 people come to our waffle party. I was nervous that we wouldn't have enough seating or room, but honestly it was so wonderful. I love these people. OH! And Alyssa Jaderholm and I went to breakfast one morning and gosh I love her. She's one of the people that I feel like takes care of me more than I do her. So many things happened to sisters in our ward this week. One was hit by a car. One passed out on the floor. One had a son's appendix burst. But the women around me are amazing and really took care of her.
Jax:
He and Ty's cross country meet was cancelled and that really bummed them out so I quickly put together a small meet for them to make up for it. It was awesome. Jax. I love him so much. He is growing up. Today Landon was talking about the things he had to do. "I want to throw the football with you. But I need to also go to the restroom." And all Jax said was, "Priorities." I don't know, you had to be there. It was awesome. Jax ran his mile in 6:42.
Ty:
Ty ran his mile 8 minutes flat. Which is a bit nerve wracking as he has to run it below 8 minutes to qualify. Ty's been having a rough time lately and I haven't understood why until I was chatting with a few other moms and they were talking about how to 2/3 combo class, that Ty is in, they are basically just doing 3 grade. schooling. Then it hit me. THATS A LOT. Ty is a smart kid, but anyone that is expected to just skip a grade, thats a lot. I don't understand what they are going to do next year, but I am certainly proud of Ty and all of his efforts and then I know that he comes home and lets it out here.
Luke:
He rode his pedal bike miles to school two times this week. I am not sure i've seen a happier Luke. He loved every single second of conference waffles. He stood by the door just waiting and waiting for kiddos to show up and then when the last one left he cried. I'm learning Luke is crazy capable. I just can't believe he rode his pedal bike up and down hills for 3 miles. No gears.
Brigham:
He is this little boy. And I love it and I hate it. He doesn't like anyone but me. Anyone that feels like a person that might end up watching him, is a definite no go for him. He was attached to my hip all 4 hours that people were here. I kind of love it though. He is a fighter and holds his own. He doesn't just cry when someone tries to take them, he wacks them and screams. He is going to go places in this life. I know it.
Conference was wonderful. People are wonderful. I miss my family.
Thats all!
