You’re Lucky Your Cute
Landon: Work is busy. It’s stressful. He has 8 weeks of vacation but he feels, in some ways, more stressed than he’s ever been. I’m not necessarily such that’s all work related. But I do think his job is heavy and like this weekend, he worked late Friday night, 12+ on Saturday and a 7-4 shift today. And that’s just heading into call week. But he has started running a lot again and that is always good for him!
Becca: Summer mom life. Lakes and pools and chores and four active boys.
Jaxson: He did really well in his basketball tournament this weekend! One kid got really mad at him and swore at him and pushed him. Jaxson is already sensitive, but he is hyper sensitive when he’s feeling competitive. And this kid question jaxsons integrity by calling him names and saying his playing dirty (which he wasn’t) and using the f word over and over…. Breaks his heart. Jax started crying and had to be taken out of the game for a minute. I love that he isn’t use to that kind of world in his real life!!! But soon after he got put back in, that kid was determined to not let Jax score, and Jax took him!!! And I was so proud.
Tyler: Has read way more this summer!! He will read for hours and it makes me so happy. He is currently reading Harry Potter 1 and every hour he will ask me “mom what page do you think I’m on” or “what part do you think I’m on.” It makes me smile, he wants me to be invested in his world! I love it. He and the boys have also been creating Lego masterpieces!! Which is lovely. And peaceful. I like when they do things that use more kind power than body power. So much calmer.
Luke: Has a super sniffer. The moment we pulled into the top of Lewiston, Luke said “what’s that smell” and covered his nose for a good 10 minutes (if you know Lewiston and the paper mill you understand.) He finished up his baseball season and loved it! He is in a tricky spot, watching his big brothers do things that he wants to but can’t. They went swimming and to DQ and to play with friends and go on a bike ride and he just didn’t get to go. I recognize that is so hard. I would say he handles it like a champ, but I think he handles it like a normal 5 year old!
Brigs: oh brigs. He pees every pants just a little, every time! He wakes up early. He screams more than talks. He wants to play and have attention. He is constant. We think he’s the most adorable thing on the planet and I still want to kick him out of the house sometimes, which just shows you how hard he is. But he’s also lovely and sweet and crawls all over you and is messy and oh TODDLERS!!!!
