Born To Run

I love the song “Going Going Gone” by Maddie Pope. And I had it running through my head all week, as I watched my boys run run run!!!

🎶 Maybe I was born to run

Maybe I was born to bleed
I don't know who I'll become
But I'll be going going gone
And even if it starts to hurt
I wanna feel it 'til my whole heart bursts
'Cause I will be forever young
So I'll be going going going going
Gone, gone (oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh)🎶

Jax and Ty and Luke all did so great in their races. But more importantly they are doing great at becoming. Jax got student of the month, Ty ate lunch with the principal for earning enough respect points, Luke got a shout out from his teacher from being a leader!! It all just came and went so quickly. Just like everything this week! From coaching to meets to Landons YM activity to driving to Utah and being with family, to BYU winning and Nate Bargatze and Conference.

We ran all week!!! And now it’s gone.

But we loved all the good moments and I prayed through the exhausting ones.

Life’s crazy. I was with my cousin last night who just has one baby. I remember that. I loved it. And it was hard. I wouldn’t go back to it. But sometimes I wish life were simpler. And then I know when that happens, when all my kids are gone…..

All I’ll want to do is run, again!

27 minutes from home. And the start of another week is among us.

You will never be happier than you are grateful
General Conference 💛

Jax took 2nd and 1st with a 5:49 mile and a 6:04 mile (these were essentially all-city meets)

Ty took 4th in a meet against all the third graders in the city with a 6:38

Luke took 9th in his school meet. And made sure to give every spectator a high five! Didn’t want to be rude.
