All About Landon

I feel like it's only fair that I dedicate a post to Landon. He does so much for us but is often so in the background.

The very best decision I ever made was and will forever be the decision to marry Landon. He is so so so good and he keeps our whole family going. He is our rock and I'm so grateful for that. I can't say enough good things about Lando.

He studies a lot. And I know I say that a lot. But he does. And he studies more than anyone I know! But I don't think he studies too much.  Landon does a really good job at prioritizing. I don't know where he got that talent. Probably his dad! Who always just knows how to do the right thing. Always. Landon is so good at playing with Jax everyday. He loves jaxson so much and is such an honest and loyal dad. He hardly ever worries about doing church related things over school work because he knows that The Lord with take care of Him. And that has strengthened my testimony. He puts me first without me even asking. Like this week he went to a stake youth dance with me instead of study and or watching the BYU basketball game. And just FYI, he hates dancing;).

Landon loves sports! And knows so much about everything that is going on in the sports world. It really is his passion. But I've started to realize that he rarely if ever puts sports in front of his family, his school, or church. And I'm sooo grateful for that. I would hAve to say that BYU football is the only sporting event that he consistently fits in his schedule.

Landon is always happy. He gets that from his Mom! Few times have I ever seem him so overwhelmed that he can't smile. And that's saying something. Medical School is craZy. It's crazy!! A lot people don't understand how crazy it is. But Landon can still joke and be a goof ball and be happy through it all! I could not. I would have died a long time ago.

Lando is a tiny bit OCD. When he sets up his study area his pens and books and phone and computer all have to be parallel to each other. He also has become a planner and scheduler and calendarer. Which he totally gets from me;).

Landon LOVES missionary work and he LOVES people. He really truly does care about people. He is always thinking about "the one". The happiest I ever ever ever see Landon is when he is talking about the gospel with people. Anyone! About any aspect of the gospel! He loves it. He has a very strong testimony of the gospel and I hope our kids can learn from him!

The most important things to Landon are The gospel and his family. And I don't have to do anything to encourage that. He just came that way... Well with good parenting that is!! And that's why I love him. So very much.

I'm not trying to make Landon out to be this perfect person. Because he isn't. But he is the best person I know. And he is my hero. And my best friend. And I will never and could never speak bad about him because he is my everything.

I would have to say that the greatest thing Landon and I have ever accomplished so far is our relationship. It's not perfect and we get frustrated with each other and sometimes I really do pour cold water on him in shower;), (but he does it back okay) but we love each other so very much and I know that we will be able to get through anything together.

The greatest decision I ever made was to marry Landon. And if nothing good ever happened to me again, I'd say I am pretty lucky, because I get to be with this guy forever! Love you babe. You rock my world.

To end: here is a poem I wrote to Landon on Monday. Oh how Mondays are always the worst!

I write this to brighten your day
To hopefully potentially get you to say...
That "Mondays have nothing on me, it is true"
Cause I have Becs, jax, and... My left shoe?

You see you might be surprised I would say
The number of people who can't in a day
Put on their left shoe or right for that matter
Because they're stuck watching hours of mad hatter.

So take comfort in knowing that you've had success
You've put on your left shoe, and I must confess
That I think your the greatest, the handsomest, the best!!
So... You just work hard, I'll take care of the rest!!!

Love you Landon! And thanks mama and papa Woolf for raising him. I could never thank you enough! He is the best!!

Gratitude

I've just had an overwhelming sense of gratitude lately. I'm so incredibly grateful for my husband. He is so good! Not perfect, but so so good. And I love him for that. I've felt overwhelming gratitude for Jaxson and for Heavenly Father allowing me, trusting me to raise him. He makes me so happy. Lando and Jax are my whole world.

Lately, like I mentioned last week, ive been so grateful for family. The family is the most central unit, the most important unit in the whole world. God gave us families so they could help us make it back to Him. We love our family. We couldn't do what we are doing without their love and support. And we love just being best friends with our family.

I'm so grateful for our little home. I love it so much. Really, I truly love it. Its our home. Its our safe haven. I've had an overwhelming love and gratitude for the temple lately. I went a couple of weeks ago and I know my life has been significantly blessed these last two weeks because of it. I'm grateful for our ward family, and our friends in our ward. We seriously love our ward and love our friends out here.

I'm grateful for my new gym membership. I've loved it so much. For 30 minutes every morning, I feel like i'm part of society. I know thats such a small silly thing, but it so real to me. I love being a mother so much, but for just thirty minutes, i'm just me. And its been so great for me.

I'm grateful to be a mother. I love it. Of course there are ups and downs, but honestly its amazing. And i'm lucky that I get to be the mom to the cutest, bestest, most wonderfulest little kid ever!

I'm grateful to be working with the young womens. I love them. This week I was able to go get a cookie with one, I went to steak and shake with two others, and got watch one get gold in her flute state solo ensemble. I love them all! They are amazing and they are strong and influential and incredible daughters of God.

Above all, i'm grateful for the gospel in my life. I know it is true. It brings me happiness. It gives me purpose. I love it. I have a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and I believe The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true.

Life is so so, oh so, good!

Jaxson:
Loves to be in small corners just like mommy
Hates the bright sun in his eyes and tells it go "go away"
Doesn't take naps anymore (which has oddly been really good for us)
Loves to "get you" and "come and get me"
When he wakes up he always says, "I did it mommy. Nap. Time."
Loves fruit
Doesn't really love sweets (unless they are bishops)
Loves Breakfast, smoothies, bagels, eggs, cereal
Loves life. He is happy, fairly obedient, good, and smart. We love him.

Oh and Landon! He is awesome! We love him too!
