27.5 Spills

Landon:
I keep forgetting that he worked this week, because me and the boys were at the Edwards family reunion. It was a nice break from the long days without him. He was able to make it to some of the reunion since it was only 40 minutes away. We loved that! He is heart broken about BYU football right now. But really. Thats not a joke. This season.....

He took me on an awesome date night last night. We went to smash burger and then we went and bought me a winter coat since i've managed to get through all of Indiana and Spokane without one. This year all that changes. Speaking of winter, the heater is broken in our church, so it just runs constantly. Its probably 85 degrees in the primary room and has been for a few weeks. So during primary Landon went home and grabbed a few fans and a screw driver to figure out how to open the windows at least. He saved the day. Then he ended the night as super hero to his boys. Tackling, wrestling, playing, reading, hugging and kissing.

Becca:
I had a great time with my family this week. I love them. We took a couple of girls to church with us this week. One of them is in our primary class and she has a younger sister Jaxson's age. Trying to keep 4 kids quiet during sacrament and then well behaved through primary... we were so happy to bring them! And grateful their mom let us! Church is so much better when you go in trying to serve instead of going in for yourself. I guess thats true about life all around.

Jaxson:
He loved playing with cousins all week. Its so fun because he gets along so so so well with all of his cousins and we don't really have to do anything to help them play well. They just play well. Its really happy. He's so excited about his birthday this week. We have to keep reminding ourselves that jax is a sensitive little dude and he has big emotions. We keep trying to remember to connect with him on those big emotional moments instead of stifling him. I'm not even close to perfect at that. But it helps when that big emotion filled heart does things like cleans up the whole house then makes and gives me a heart to tell me how much he loves me. Whatever dude, let that big heart of yours take over.

Ty:
Oh my gosh ty. You were absolutely exhausting today. My eyes are blood shot and heavy because of you. You dumped three boxes of cereal on the ground. You dumped the legos on the ground at least 4 times. When we tried to discipline you, you retaliated by throwing what ever was near you(glass of water, plate, food, truck, fork, dinner, etc), towards whoever was near you (poor jax). I think we cleaned up at least 27.5 spills TODAY. The .5 was me catching a fork, mid air, that was aimed directly for daddy. So many spills, so many time outs. And then.... and then we ask you to say the prayer and you fold your arms, bow your head and say, without any help or additional prompting, "Heavenly Father, thank you for food, Nana, Popsie, Hailey, Hazel, Harper, and Erika..... Amen." And I roll my eyes and say, "well played little dude. well played."

It was Hazel's third birthday at the reunion. She wanted a super hero party. Spider man made an appearance and scared Ty and Hazel to death. So many tears!

We saw Landon at the hospital real quick Monday morning. It was happy.

I spy the blurry baseball

Ping Pong baseball. An Edwards classic.

Worst restaurant we've ever been too as a family. Whoops. :/.

We did part of primary in the hall until Landon made the primary room a little cooler.

Honest to Goodness

Today was perfect.

We picked Landon up from his retreat in Snowbird @ 11:30. We went to church and I just felt the spirit so strong. I felt at home for the first time since we moved here. And primary was awesome. We are really starting to get great traditions and routines down. Then we had Lacey & Cory and the kiddos over. We love them so much. Then we went to Christopher's baptism and it reminded me so much of Indiana. Lots of really wonderful people. Now we are exhausted, but filled with Joy!

Landon and I both worked really hard this week. We have so many things to be grateful for. One of which is that Jax & Ty are just becoming the cutest buddies. It fills my heart with happiness. This is actually the first week that we haven't gone on a date. Landon had a retreat all weekend and worked late most nights. We will make up for it.

Landon and I were asked to be the Presidents of the BYU FSOS (Former Student Body Officers Society) Group. I was and Executive Director for BYU Clubs in 2008 and Student Body Secretary in 2009. It was a lot of work and I met amazing people. I loved it. This is a three year term and i'm excited. I went to the BYU FSOS Dinner on Saturday night and met a lot of wonderful former student body officers. The person I sat next to was the Student Body President in 1978. And one lady was the Student Body Secretary in the 20s? Something crazy like that.

Saturday was filled with BYU Parade, watching Erika run a half marathon (you go girl), visiting my sweet indy young women, Lizzy, in the hospital, visiting my sister in law Marie to wish her Happy Birthday and then the BYU FSOS dinner. It was a great day and we only wished Landon could have been there.

Landon loves his job. He just loves it. He loves his program so much. He enjoyed the retreat a lot and I'm grateful he had a chance to go and get to know some of his fellow residents a little more.

Life isn't perfect. And sometimes i'm a mess. But its my imperfect messy life that i'm living in and I honest to goodness wouldn't trade it for anything!!!

I mean. Come. ON!

PULHAMS CAME TO VISIT. Gosh I love this family to pieces. Jax & Jens became great buddies in Indy and Alisa, oh Alisa, will always always be one of my favorite people ever.

T-Ball. Daddy missed his first game, but Jax killed it!

"My mom is running. Finish" I felt inspired after this photo and ran 2 miles at a 8 minute pace ;).

Just blesssed when daddy is around. And he is so present with us I am so grateful.

Pictures from Greta while I was at the temple. Love that girl!

Found a heart freckle on landons arm.

Sometimes, it looks like this when he gets home. BUT this week he walked in the door at 3:15 and I cried a little.

School sends kids home with so much paper.

Then we went to the farmers market, and rode 1.5 miles home. Then Landon made it home half way through another BYU loss. Ugh!

I liked my hair here haha :)

I sent this to Landon after the boys were in bed Friday. Haha! They were little gifs and its exactly how I felt.
