Lando:
Was on call friday and is on call today. Right now he's in a kidney transplant case, which is a big case for him. On friday he was in cases from the moment he walked into the door for work until 5:30am the next morning. His senior resident was so nice to let him go to sleep for an hour before he needed to head home. Thank goodness for post call days! We picked him up early Saturday morning to go to Jaxson's first basketball game/practice at 8. Landon & my brother and me (technically) are coaching together. After that, we came home and Landon slept. He didn't want to sleep, but by 9:28am he was sprawled out on the floor. So we made him get up and go to bed, we each gave him a kiss and tucked him into bed, shut the door and tried to stay quiet for the next 5 hours. He slept until he needed to go to his home teachee's home and help her. She is an older women who has had every kind of cancer and experienced way too much hardship in her life. She adores Landon. The feeling is mutual, Landon is so cute with her. We picked him up from that and drove straight to our nieces birthday party!!! THREE!!! We love little Hal pal! Then we came back, tucked our kids in bed, and went to The Greatest Showman for our date. I can't help but think of what President Monson's daughter said at his funeral, "Ann, I feel we've done some good today." I think Landon is stretched so thin, and has to choose daily what good he can do. I think he does a pretty phenomenal job. I feel he has done some good today and yesterday and every day for that matter.
He took both Jax and Ty out on a cute, short little shopping date so they could spend their Christmas money. Other than that, the rest of his free time was spent strength training and trail running for his trail race coming up. Oh and he is studying daily for his ITE (in training exam) that is coming up in February. Gosh, he's lazy. :)
Becs:
Speaking of lazy. I've taken at least one nap every single day this week. Golly, this pregnancy is taking all of my energy out of me. Thank goodness for our comfy couch and television. Both are used and enjoyed and appreciated greatly.
I was extremely effected by a tragic story this week. A 4th year medical student was driving to an interview and was killed by a suicidal driver. He left behind his pregnant wife (due this month with baby boy #3) and two adorable little boys. It felt way to close to home. Other than an ever small donation, there really isn't anything else I can do, besides be grateful for my life and circumstances, and adore my husband and boys. So I tried to be ever more present and engaged and loving all week thinking about Lauren and her boys. Life seems so unfair sometimes. Donate here if you can.
I went to the temple this week and President Monson's viewing and I also was able to go visiting teaching. It was a very very successful visiting teaching evening. I have 5 sisters I visit teach and only one of them is active. I also was on-call on Monday for the Utah Domestic Violence Crisis line. Sad stuff on Moday :(.
Exercising. Cooking and eating healthy food. Prayer. Scripture study. Naps. One intentional moment with each boy. Church service. The basics. Thats my life right now. The Basics. Oh an growing a human inside of me... is that basic?? :).
ALSO I"M LOVING THIS WEATHER!!!! Perfect running weather.
Jaxson:
Oh this boy. He was soooooo excited to go to his first basketball game that he woke up at 6:20am on Saturday morning. I wasn't super happy about it. I apologized to him about 63 minutes later when I was more awake and he said, "Thats okay mom, you didn't sleep well." Oh this boy. Its a good thing he's so darn forgiving. He's right though pregnant + landon being gone at night doesn't give me the most restful sleep. But that isn't an excuse either. I'm normally such a morning person. So this week I plan on having 7 happy mornings no matter how hit-by-a-train I feel.
He was sooooo excited to go back to school. He was able to play with his buddy jack for an hour on Saturday. He got an x-wing and R2D2 with the money his nana gave him for Christmas. I still remember when he couldn't say R2D2. A classic woolf video for sure!!!!
Ty ty:
He said the prayer tonight and I was helping him with it. I said "say thank you for my best friend..." and he said, "Thank you for Jaxson." And it made me smile that he just auto corrected that in his head. They can be so darling together.
He does this thing where he asks for something he wants but knows he can't have at the moment:
"Mommy I have snack?.... just kidding *fake laugh*."
"Mommy I sit in Jaxson's car seat?.... just kidding *fake laugh*."
"Mommy I have more gum?... just kidding *fake laugh*"
It makes me laugh so hard every time.
He's started saying the funniest thing to me when i'm discipling him. The other day he dropped his toy in the car. He kept saying "Mommy stop car. Get toy." But he wasn't saying it, he was yelling it over and over again. So I kept repeating "Ty, we are almost home, i'll get it then." Then while we were pulling into our driveway he started screaming. So I parked the car, turned around and said in a stern voice, "Knock it off, that is not acceptable." To which he replied, "I say sorry mom. You stop acting like that." WHAT the? I started laughing so hard so now anytime my stern voice comes out he says, "You stop acting that way mom." Kids always keeping us in line.
I feel i've rolled my eyes because of the actions of this little boy more than I have for the rest of my life combined. His ability to be so toddler like and then so incredibly adorable in just two seconds is astounding to me. "HOW DO YOU SLEEP AT NIGHT?" Catch the reference???
Baby Brother:
Please submit any and all boy names. That would be greatly appreciated. Also, baby is moving like crazy. I'm loving it. Still small enough to do a million tricks and not hurt me every kick. Twenty sixs weeks. WHHHAAAAT?

It took me an hour to run up 2.2 miles from Jax's school to the hospital. I maybe walked some. But almost climbed 1,000 feet so I felt good. Ty is the best stroller buddy ever. |
Kale Salad & Instant pot Mac & Cheese. |
The boys were obsessed and ate every bite. They wanted me to text daddy their happy plate.
I was pretty proud of my last minute make shift lid. We were walking Jax to school and it was raining and ty had to have his chocolate smoothie then we got on the train for the library. |
I was also proud of my ONE purchase costco shopping trip. |
Weekly great harvest run. We run a mile to great harvest, buy our bread, ty eats a slice, then we run home. Its the best! |
I'm LOVING this new granola recipe. I've been playing around with it so much. Less honey, some maple syrup, coconut, pecans, less cinnamon, a little nutmeg, etc. Its a true winner and so easy! And this was my mid morning snack--banana, ground peanuts, and granola. |
I don't remember what night this was. But he dropped his backpack on the ground then went straight to the couch. We turned on a show and he was a goner. Such a cute little goner. |
Bonneville Shore Trail. LOVE! And SLC has been clear of inversion. ALSO LOVE! |
I love Ty's dimple. I think it comes from his Grandpa Woolf. |
A family that trains together, stays together??? I don't think that works. But we love the train. |
Ty always wakes up from nap and then cuddles on the couch for a minute or two before he asks for a snack. |
He loves his avocado toast with radishes. |
