Lando: is full fledge I’m training mode. Ran 15 miles on Saturday and a couple of other difficult runs during the week. We went on a date with the Durrant’s and saw Top Gun. I can’t decide which I liked more, hanging with the Durrant’s or the movie. My hands haven’t sweat like that since the first time I held hands with a boy. One of the greatest movies I’ve ever seen. We also went on an extra date night with the Marcusens. And we LOVE them so much. I love my life with Landon
Becs: Oh my gosh I’m so overwhelmed. Getting ready for Utah. And then camping right after that and trying to get the house cleaned for all of that. Plus last week of school and church stuff and still trying to build friendships. Just so much. Some of my favorite moments this week was Wait Until Dark with Hailey. Oh I’m going to adopt every teenage girl! Watching Jaxson play baseball. Visiting with TEN different, inactive sisters on Sunday. Having the Dittos over for dinner on Sunday. Laughing so hard with Alyssa and Destiny. Picking bouquets with Lynnette. Building benches and GETTING MY 🌈 pillows! Just so so so many good moments. But I also was deeply overwhelmed and kind of curled up in the fetal position for some of the week.
Jaxson: finished off the baseball season strong. He’s a good little defender. We need to practice on hitting. He played some basketball. And got beat but scored 20+ points. He practiced for Hoopfest with his team. He’s best friend is J and every single day, I thank God for the Fague’s. Because if we didn’t have them, Jaxson would feel so lonely. I’ve been super impressed with Jaxsons commitment to his newspaper. He’s made four official volumes.
Tyler: Hes such a social little kid, I wonder where he got that from. He makes friends everywhere he goes. My boys certainly struggle with talking with adults but as soon as adults are out of the picture they play hard. It’s funny I feel like ty got little attention from me this week because of our weekend. So many plates to juggle.
Luke: oh Lukie. He’s so hard right now. So dang whiney. But the kid kills me with his thumbs up presents and his incredible ability to remember peoples names and understand their connection. He constantly wants to be with friends and people. He always is asking who is coming over for dinner and he’s not afraid to talk to anyone. Always telling them he’s four and asking them what their name is. He’s a little sassy stubborn fellow. And I’m trying to be more consistent with my parenting with him. Man, parenting is exhausted. And I’m exhausted already. No wonder younger kids get the laid back parents.
Brigs: He has the stinkiest feet. He loves all the sweets. He looks like a vagabond 90% of the time. He beats up on Luke constantly and Luke never beats up back. He says no words. He falls asleep in the car all the time. He never gets baths or structure or consistent dual parent bedtime. And of all of my children, he has the most idyllic childhood. Full of little kids running around and exploring outside in a beautiful yard and being doted on by literally every human that lays eyes on him. We are all obsessed with this human. I can’t wait to see who he becomes.
