Lando:
I love him. He’s the hardest work I know. He was on-call Thursday night. He sent this text to a few of our friends/family:
Last night I took care of a patient shot 3 times by a drive by shooter, and there was also:
1. 17 year old self inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Not operable. Not survivable
2. Man found down near downtown library with a huge gash and an empty bottle nearby. Went to OR for brain bleed.
3. C section
4. Car crash with one fatality and another seriously injured
THEN! He got home and he watched Alayna and Clara. Then he went on a walk with Brigham. I’m sure he then worked out. Logan joined Ty from school and they played. Then he took Logan home. He then got a birthday present for Ty’s friend and took Ty to a birthday party and picked him up. All while having brigs. He was probably awake for 36 hours. I don’t know how he did it!!
Becs:
I worked on the house all week (only have it be another weeks worth of work by Sunday) and then I got to hang out with Jax and Luke and my family this weekend!! Meeting baby Luke!! Family coming to games. It was all soooo happy.
Jax:
He had a great tournament. He had a really awesome stretch in a close game with great passes and good takes and some steals and rebounds. It was so fun.
Ty:
On Friday morning Hailey woke him up at 6:15 and he watched Briggy for an hour while Landon was finishing work. And I popped onto Vivint to check in and see if everything was okay. He was getting brigs breakfast and then he was playing with him and packing his lunch. That kids is so responsible when he feels needed. I think he’s changed the most from the Phillipines!
Luke:
Luke loved his birthday trip with family. It was so happy! One funny thing about Luke that I want to remember. Every Wednesday is piano. And we have bagels that morning to make things simpler. Luke, without fail, eats everything but the last bite of the bagel. Then he sets it on the middle console, goes to piano, comes back and finishes that last bite. He is not a hurry up kid. And that’s a beautiful thing and sometimes hard when you live in a family like ours.
Brigs:
On Monday he prayed that he could govern a raisin to his teacher. I told him we didn’t have any. Then he went and found raisins (cranberries but he doesn’t know the difference) in the fridge and put them in his backpack and then ran to Mr Kenyon to give him his raisins. Later that afternoon Mr Kenyon told me that Brigs had asked him the previous Thursday if he had ever had a raisin. And then he promised Mr Kenyon that he’d bring him one. AND HE REMEMBERED all on his own. I thought it perfectly incapsulated brigs strengths and heart.
