Its the first time i've ever dialed 911...
Just as I had gotten over being terribly sick... (i'm talking laying on the couch with my arm over my head pressing play to another movie for the boys while they eat Cheerios)... we woke up Tuesday morning to our car being gone. As I walked Jax to school I kept getting more and more frustrated with Landon over text, "Babe! I'm not mad you took the car, just tell me you have it so I don't have to worry about it." He kept questioning me as to where I might have accidentally left it. Seriously? Like i'd accidentally forget to get it on my way out of the grocery store???.... Haha! After about 15 minutes I realized he really didn't have the car and I really didn't leave it somewhere.
Car stolen.
So I called 911. And my auto insurance. And my renters insurance. Tow companies. Our landlord. Enterprise. Family.... you get the idea. So many phone calls.
I spent most of Tuesday just organizing our steps moving forward. Figuratively speaking and literally too, since we now are a no car family. Because of all the craziness me and the boys ended up going out to eat for dinner. Ty ordered hot dogs and french fries at a Mexican restaurant. He loved them. I put the boys to bed, Landon came home a few hours later.
3:00am, Ty, throwing up.
Ty then proceeded to throw up 23 more times on Wednesday. I called his pediatrician at 8:00am. They said he needed gatorade and sprite to settle his stomach. So off me and the boys walked to the grocery store (since said car was still stolen). Ty threw up on the way to Smiths and on the way back from Smiths. At least it wasn't in the car right?
He wouldn't stop.
So my mom came up and drove us to the hospital (where his doctor is). He threw up in my arms, in the hospital hallway. I'll never forget running with sick ty in my arms through the hall of the hospital to the doctors office.
My dad drove over from work and dropped off his car and a phone charger since my phone was dying. Ty seemed to be calming down so my parents took off and headed home. But then he ate a few crackers and drank some red gatorade. Which made him throw up right outside of the hospital by the wheel chairs. He threw up in the brand new car seat my mom bought, since our other ones are in the stolen car. He threw up in my dads car twice too. And then once on our beautiful new white rug.
Which I bleached. And it turned Orange.
I was tired okay.
Zofran.
But at 6:30--with Zofran in his stomach--he was smiling again. I put the boys to bed, folded at LEAST 9 loads of laundry, hurried and straightened up and Landon walked in around 9:00pm. I gave him half my cafe rio salad that my mom got me. Because I deserved a cafe rio salad after the last two days.
Cafe Rio + a million heart emojis
The weekend ended with not having to actually cancel thanksgiving because Ty didn't have a virus, he was just poisoned. We ate our faces full with my family. Went and saw Coco. Then drove to Moab for the weekend. Where we forgot about the first half of our week.
Thanksgiving.
Family.
Moab.
Christmas decorating.
Elf.
Hot Chocolate.
All in all it was a week to remember. I felt extremely grateful Thursday morning for family. Grateful for all my brothers who called me multiple times during all the craziness. And my parents who came up to help! For friends who sent me lunch via Ubereats because they live too far away. For in-laws who sent multiple texts and offered cars and help and love and prayers. For washers that have a sanitation cycle option. Brothers who let us borrow their car to go to moab. For prayers. For love. For only one bleached spot after all the possible damage that could have happened. For safety. For Christmas music and Christmas lights. For Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. And all kinds of insurance. Including medical. Which provided Zofran. And I think I end the week most grateful for Zofran.
I love Maddie!!!
We delivered these on Tuesday to neighbors. I made the cookies monday. It was good to get out of the house and forget about the stolen car situation for a while.
But Jax fell
Of course.
Perks of having doctors offices in the hospital. Landon stopped by for a minute. Basically enough time to kiss each one of us then head back to surgery.
UGH! Seriously.
ZOFRAN IS AMAZING!!!!!!! This was only 35 minutes after the throwing up on the carpet incident.
Quick impromptu stop on the way to Moab.
My favorite moment of the whole trip. The picture doesn't show how high we were and how peaceful it was. And how sweet the moment was with Ty sitting on my lap without moving. I wanted to stop time.
After I tucked ty into bed, I look outside the Camper and saw this sweet moment. Jax and Landon talking. I didn't want that to end either.
