Christmas & a Vigil

We had an awesome Christmas and Boxing Day. There is nothing more special than Christmas morning with happy boys. They loved their presents and have used them fervently over the break. Which feels really nice. Jaxson loved his chess board and kindle. Ty loved his Lego and kindle. Luke loved his clothes and kindle. And brigs loved his LEGO and books.

They loved their new rooms. Though we already torn the big boys down. They love their hoops in their rooms. I never ask my kids what they want for Christmas. I just love thinking about what they love and getting it for them. I also don’t like the practice of making a list—as if thats what Christmas is. Make a list get presents. Blah.

We took a gift to 12 older single ladies. And some invited us in. It was lovely. We had dinner with a bunch of other people who don’t have family in town.

The day after Christmas we boxed up so much stuff and got rid of it. I’m constantly in pursuit of doing that. It really was a great week.

And I try to remain grateful for it while feeling the heaviness of Landon’s friends passing on Christmas Day. A tragic swimming accident in Costa Rica left my friend Malerie and her 4 children without a husband and dad. And it’s been gutting to think about. We are fervently praying for Malerie and her children. No one should ever have to go through this. But some do. And all I can do is mourn with those that mourn. And comfort those that stand in need of comfort.

Merry Christmas!!! I’m grateful I have my whole family here on this earth and pray it stays that way.

Christmas-y Things

This was a hard week. For a lot of reasons. Ones Lando and I will never forget, but too personal to share. And I got behind on all the mundane tasks of life.

But we hosted Jax team for Christmas
I went to the nutcracker with my dad
We did Christmas deliveries
We dated
Ty worked really hard in school
Luke had two birthday parties on Saturday—lived his best life and then was way happier at home.
Brigs out chocolate in her church shirt pocket that then melted and brown goo started oozing out of his pocket during sacrament meeting.
Christmas Sunday
Christmas Movies
Merry Christmas Week!

I’m grateful we have each other!!

Christmas with my Bestie!

I wish I could talk in detail about all that happened this week. Landon and I have spent a lot of time considering our future. And a lot of time discussing and shopping for Christmas. It’s dominated our entire week.

I love that I have landon and can partner with him in all things. He’s my best friend! And that feels like the greatest gift. He also just scared me so bad. That I turned all the lights on in our bedroom and bathroom. So he couldn’t fall asleep. But he fell asleep anyway. Sooooo I lost. Twice. But I’ll be back!

PS: Muppets Christmas Carol and 8 Bit Christmas. They are just so good!

Christmas Season 2025

It’s CHRISTMAS!!

We set up Christmas. Read books and hung ornaments. Drank some hot chocolate. For family night we order crumbl cookie and watched dude perfect. #ifykyk. We all have been some version of sick this week. Most of us are recovering. Landon’s not quite there. I took the YW on a retreat. Intellectual retreat. It concluded all our 2025 retreats and Campouts! On to 2026. I was bummed that I would miss the BYU game. But then not so bummed.
The boys preformed in the talent show. We went to Journey to Bethlehem.

It was a happy week!
