Week 6: Goodbye Online School

Landon:
Best week of fellowship so far! Even though he did work a lot and got off on Friday, well Saturday at 2:00am. He enjoys peds hearts. It was nice to have him for the weekend. We did a lot! We got the boys school clothes and grocery shopped and cleaned the house and played and cooked and talked about goals and routines. Everything just runs better in my life when Lando is around.

Becs:
I really enjoyed this last week of online school. I finally figured it out and though i'm excited for the boys to go back, I don't think i'd be as devastated if they came back and said that the kids need to go back to online school. I also did a Welcome Fall/Halloween dinner on the one night I knew Landon would be home early. And he got home a little after 5 and we had a great dinner, except for Luke, who always makes meal times hard.

Jax:
He and Ty are buddies and thats been my favorite part of online school. When they want a break from school, it typically involves them wanting to play together. And how do I say no to that! He is nervous about school tomorrow. He asked Landon for a fathers blessing. He also said to Landon, "Next time we move, can we just not move again. I'd like to just stay in one place." Oh that kid, poor kid. He really hasn't repeated a school year once at the same school. We also were talking about the placenta and belly buttons and how I deliver the placenta. Jax was fascinated until I told him that some mothers choose to blend the placenta up and drink it, then he was gagging over the toilet. But his weekend ended great with a BYU win. But man that kid, he cried when Troy scored a touch down (final school 45-7)... "But I didn't want them to score any points."

Ty:
He and Jax had a hilarious conversation about what they would do if they were had infinite amounts of money. Jax wanted all things sports and Ty wanted all things building/climbing and swimming. Then they asked me what I'd do and I jokingly said, "Id give it all to the poor of course." And then they just didn't know where to go from there. Ty wants to learn about everything Landon does at work. Landon was talking about a lung transplant that he did on an 18 month old and Ty just kept peppering Landon him with questions while Jax plugged his ears. Ty is happy to join in on the BYU games with us, but he typically colors BYU or builds Y stadiums while the game is running. The only tunes in at the really exciting moments, like when the kicker drills a 56 yard field goal. I'm starting to realize that Ty sleeps like me. Poor guy. He doesn't sleep super well at night and I think he tosses and turns. And this week alone I found him in odd places in the house the next morning because he just got up in the middle of the night and needed a different scene. I remember doing that so much when I was little. What would it be like to just.... fall asleep easy, stay asleep easy and then wake up the next morning. I just don' tknow.

Luke:
He sings. He reads books to us. He makes faces. He is so good at catching the ball. He can count to 15 so well and knows most of his shapes and all the animal sounds. He is sharp and learns quickly and clever. He stinks at going to bed. And naps have become a fight too. Whannnnn. And he just makes eating so hard. He hasn't had a ton of attention from mom and dad over the last..... 2.5 years. So I'm hoping to jump in and make up for it these next 5 weeks while the boys are at school and baby is still in my tummy. haha. That is funny, like I could make up for the past 2.5 years!

Alright. Real school here we come.

Week 5: Divide & Conquer

 Daddy, Jax & Ty

After a long week of nights, Landon surprised the boys with a trip out to Utah. He interviewed at Primary Children's while the boys ate up every minute with family. Landon's dad flew up to Utah too, to give Landon a father's blessing! I guess Jax cried last night, begging for one more day! The boys had a blast with their cousins and it makes me happy. Landon is exhausted for real, his interview on Friday was like 14 hours, and he is still recovering from being on nights, but he loved being able to see family. I feel like I haven't really talked to Landon since last last Thursday when we went on a date before nights started. Landon heads into peds Hearts and the boys head into potentially their last week of online school. We can do this!

Mommy & Luke

I got so many kisses from Lukers this weekend. I thought he was going to be so sad that his brothers were gone, but he legit never cried once haha! It was like he was thinking the whole time, "Its about DANG time I get my mom all to myself." Luke and I had a great time! We went on a 3 mile+ walk/run each morning. I have to retire running for the rest of this pregnancy though. My pelvic floor cant handle it anymore. I'm sad I won't make it like I did with Luke's pregnancy, but alas. Luke and I played, went to the park, walked, ate food, talked, cuddled, read books, rode scooters, and watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. It was so fun to finally have some one on one time with him. I'm hopeful the boys can go back to school so he can get a little more of that before baby comes.

Baby:

I've never ever had a baby move as much as this one. Which only scares me. Don't I deserve a calm, easy going baby? Less than 8 weeks til baby is here and that feels both forever to me and crazy to me. Because i've done NOTHING to prepare. One of these days maybe nesting will kick in. If not, we may just be flying by the seat of our pants.

Other Life Events:

Levi turned 1 this week. I facetimed in to his adorable birthday party. He is a miracle. Leah and Lincoln had their baby girl this week, Oakley Mae, she's perfect. And Ruth Bader Ginsburg died and she was amazing, and can 2020 get any crazier?? Maddie painted her initials on her walls and I just loved it so much!
