Personal Growth!

Lots of personal development this week. Working on our goals and getting into the winter stride.

Jaxson:
He’s over 3,000 shots made this year. Shooing a couple hours a day plus three practices a week. He’s putting in the work!

Ty:
Has been eager to get better at rock climbing. He did a 9 wall this week, which was exciting. His teacher says he is excelling in math and reading. And she wishes she had 10 more like him.

Luke:
Other than a school award! He was a great little point guard on his team. It’s been a bit adjustment going from 30 points a game to 6 points a game. But he’s playing basketball. So that’s good. Luke’s teacher loves him and said he is well above the standard.

Brigs:
Has been working on his reading and his sounds and his swimming. And his emotions. We love him and he’s growing up.

I went to Arizona to be with Leah for her baby shower! Gosh I love her. She’s beautiful and such a good mom and wifey. I loved chatting with Lincoln too. Oh! And Oakley and Avie 😍 Also! Got a quick visit with Logan and Erika and Ruthie and Blaire. I just love all these humans!! Cookies and Thai food and talking. It wasn’t enough. IT WASNT ENOUGH!!!

Landon worked and worked out. And magnified his calling and held the fort down and as always is in my corner. I love him!!!

Happiest Family Week

I just loved this week SOOOOOO much. So much family time. It felt like we were back in training where it often felt like it was us against the world. I want to do more family stuff like this. Nothing better!

Also brigs can ski. So thats fun!

We took off after Jaxson’s practice on Tuesday and started our drive to Provo. We were able to have dinner with my parents on Wednesday night and then surprise HALLIE for her 11th birthday at the BYU GAME. It was so epic to be there. Wow AJ is unreal. I’m so glad we saw him in person before he types to the NBA.

Thursday we drove back home and celebrated James Pickett’s birthday. Then on Friday we packed back up, after unpacking, and drove to Portland.

We went to the temple yesterday which felt like Heaven. So did the Alameda Ward today. They had a primary program with 2 primary age kids, 2 nursery kids and 2 grandchildren that come occasionally. It was the best primary program I’ve ever been apart of. They sang the first and fourth articles of faith. They sang I will walk with Jesus. The 10 year old boy that was baptized a year again gave a talk and the 9 year old that was baptized a year ago read the most beautiful poem. It was so tender and sweet and it made me want to move to a ward like that!

Jaxson played so well yesterday in his tournament. Hes been working towards his goal of 26,000 shots this year and crushing it. He made 4/4 shots in the second game. But he is so much more than a shooter.

Other than that we had yummy donuts and excellent sushi! The boys have loved playing basketball at the hotel and it’s been blue skis. It has been the best weekend!

Lando’s on a flight home! Jax gets to play on the semi finals tomorrow morning. Praying he’ll do well so he can finally make it to a championship game NOT on Sunday!

Happy Sabbath.
