He did his 3rd Misogi—paddle boarding Ponderay Lake. And then he hiked Mt Adams with Dan.

Jax:
Went to Dax’s birthday party and started seminary. Also holding hands in public!! Stop growing up.

Missed more soccer because of his knee. But cheered on his brothers at all the things

Had his first football game and loved it.

Had his first soccer game and scored 2 goals!

I had a great convo with a friend over sushi. Win win! Saunad with my young women. Temples with my ministering sisters. And hid under the covers some days with how daunting my afternoons feel sometimes! But I wouldn’t change it…. All and all it was really a win win kind of week (besides Ty’s knee:()

School Time

Back in the swing of things!

On top of normal school life. We have 25 practices in 5 days. That doesn't count the 4 games we have on the weekends. This Saturday was the last weekend we had free of sports til October 31st. We also haven't started seminary yet. So thats fun. Gah! Tomorrow.

Jax:
He loves high school. English is his favorite because of his teacher. He has a friend in almost every class. He has been running cross country. Its been a bit frustrating for him. But we will see how he adjusts. He officially likes a girl, and i'm starting to wonder how much longer I can keep this blog public, how will I write about all the juicy details. I am finding some really whiplash adjustments happening over here with a true teenager. How do you parent them, i'm not sure and Jax is feeling the brunt of it.

Ty:
He has some knee pain that we had to work out this week, but he started cross country and is loving it. He hasn't been practicing as much in soccer to save his knee. He has taken on middle school with a serious attitude and wants to exceed. His favorite class is history and I think that is also because of the teacher. He admitted that there are two cute girls in school. So thats fun.

Luke:
He has been managing the reality of not loving his teacher and having his best friends in another class. I think its the first time he hasn't loved school. And I think its hitting hard at home because of it. He started both cross country and football this week. And he was able to go to a baseball game with his buddy on Saturday. Luke is a classic middle child, and one day I will apologize for all that I lacked in raising him. But hopefully I can most help him learn to regulate his emotions.

Brigs:
I think he's enjoyed school. He's only shown mild tiredness from being there all day. I think he likes school, but doesn't love it. One thing I am super impressed with about Brigs, is his memory. He just remembers all the things. Also he started soccer and cross country this week and I had no Idea he knew how to run. He ran 3 miles easily, maybe more.

Becs:
People keep asking me how I am feeling about all my kids being in school. I know its a big milestone. I am just not really wanting to talk about it haha! I have appreciated the time when all my kids are in school. But with 25 practices a week It feels like I spend that time prepping for the afternoons. I plan to take this year slow. Catch up on all the things I haven't done in the last 15 years and just figure out who I am without littles by my side.

Lando:
He had a pretty full week at work. He was able to go to an interview dinner to help pick a new higher. He has relentless optimism and its sometimes the best and sometimes annoying. He took me on a date that I squashed and then he rerouted. He started his misogi tonight. Paddle boarding the entire ponderay lake. Crazy guy.

We've lived off of our peaches the last few weeks. We still spend so much time with our youth. And here is to another crazy week!
