Creating Home with Lace Face

Its 11:40pm. I almost forgot to blog. I can't believe the amount of physical labor I did this week. Hours and hours of weeding. Including chopping down a tree and shaping trees. Lots of church stuff. Mom and wife life. And then this shiplap wall.

I am grateful to Mara for helping me weed for 12 hours this week.

Having Lacey and her kids here this weekend has been the best ever. The kids have played and played and played. Tonight when they went to sleep, Landon told them a captain hook story and he left. Lace ran up to say good night to her kiddos two minutes later, and they were out. They've played hard.

Lacey has been working basically every single minute that she has been out here. We owe her BIG TIME!!! It has seriously been so much help to have her and so much more fun.

I'm tired.

Boys are good.

Peace

A Sunny Getaway

Landon and I were able to fly to Arizona for less than 48 hours to be with his parents and siblings. We had a great time and laughed so hard. We were so grateful to the Fagues & Harwoods who stepped up VERY last minutes to watch all of our boys. Something about Spokane. People have made us feel like family from the moment we arrived.

Jaxson had testing all week which stresses him out quite a bit. He is excited for that to finish up this week.

Ty finished up soccer this week. His team was undefeated and I think he had at least 3 goals in every game. He also finished two LEGO sets, one over 1,400 pieces, today.

Luke is ready to play some sports. He has one more week of school left and will be so sad when its ends.

Brigham is giving lots of open mouth kisses and type neck hug squeezes. He almost definitely can say "Daaaa" and it is most likely in reference to Landon.

We loved being in the sun this week and we are excited for another full week ahead.

Ty's is SEVEN!!!!

 Ty Ty is 7!!!!!!

And we had the most special day today. As far as Sunday Birthdays go, I think we did a pretty good job today.

He woke up to typical pictures and balloons. We had biscuits and gravy and I read his birth story. We went to church and everyone celebrated him. Then he wanted to wait for a treat from the Bishop, and we waited for an hour. He picked M&Ms and then only ate 3 of them. Then we had Sushi for lunch and he painted and colored with his art set we got him. At 3:15 he took off with Landon and Jax to run 7 miles. AND HE KILLED IT. He ran 7 miles at an 11:20 pace. Like what the heck??? He wanted the Fagues and the Harwaoods over for dinner. Chicken pot pie, caprese salad, sour dough bread and ice cream cake. We ate dinner and everyone went around saying some of their favorite things about Ty:
He never gives up
He sets goals and finishes them
He is nice
He is energetic
He runs
He didn't choose pizza as his food selection
That his is always happy
He is out going
He is a good listener
He is aware of peoples emotions
He is funny
He is a builder
He is flexible
Those are just a few of the things people mentioned.

After dinner we played capture the flag and then ate ice cream cake.

Ty is so incredible. We are so in love with him. His emotions are so intense and it makes life so exciting. He is brilliant, athletic, kind, happy, sad, determined, hilarious.

We can not be more proud of who this little dude is becoming. We feel lucky to be his parents. From the moment he was born we've had intense love for him and it never ever stops growing.

Something happened here that has never ever happened in my mothering life. Brigham fell asleep on the way to groceries. Then I got him out, and he slept on me while I grocery shopped at Trader Joes, then I strapped him back in and he stayed asleep. Like what??? It was the cutest moment.

Jax came home on Friday really upset. He feels like he doesn't have friends at school and he was so sad. But then he had two hits and walked. He scored three runs and caught a pop fly. It lifted his spirits.
