Lando:
He had a friend/colleague who was hit by a car today and die. It hit him hard. Life is fragile. A couple of weeks ago one of the PAs committed suicide. His job is stressful and then to add these into the mix, it’s heavy. He worked SO much in the yard this week though. And it looks fabulous. Gosh I love him! He really is amazing and is our families quiet unsung background hero. It’s easy to forget the sacrifice he makes every day. Because of the out of sight out of mind. But when I’m present and realize all that he does, I feel loved and safe.
Becs:
I loved my silent retreat led led by Annie. And scripture study. Shopping with Hailey. And my 12 mile run. Got my hair cut. I loved my experience at the temple with Jax, Landon and the Martinez family. Baseball games and concerts. But feeling behind in so many things. Landon got me a cross bracelet and I love it!
Jax;
He had a solo on the trumpet in his concert and do great. Flipped over the handle bars on the bike at his young men’s activity. Weeded for five hours today. Is always back mind thinking about the NBA playoffs. Is the cutest little babysitter to his brothers.
Ty:
Has enjoyed a few extra days off from soccer. All of his teachers talk about how much of an example he is to the rest of his team and kids around him. He is loving listening to audio books right now. Gets home from school and curls up in bed and listens. He also weeded outside for about 3.5 hours
Luke:
I prayed at the beginning of the week that I would understand how to love and parent Luke better. It was then that I heard some of the other kids greet him when he got to school “Luke why do you always ride that stupid bike to school.” “Luke go to the back, don’t butt in line.” “Luke is a weirdo.” The spirit whispered, “he’s not feeling loved at school which is why he’s acting out at home.” You better believe Landon and I turned on the love the last few days. And boy he’s been a different kid
Brigs:
Knows all of his colors and loves his card and trucks. He locked himself in the minivan a couple of times this week. Sometimes he just finds his way into the garage and into the van and then presses all the buttons. And boom, you feel like you’ve lost a child, and when you find him, like you’ll never get him out. Luckily he understands AMAZINGLY well…. Even though his speech does not show that.
We are heading to Glacier to see my parents today and driving home tomorrow! But I love my parents and glacier so can’t think of anything better!! Well, Landon would be able to join.
