Grandma & Grandpa Visit

Grandma & Grandpa were here for 3 days and its been the best. The more i'm around them the more I love them and the more blessed I feel to have them as my mama & papa woolf and my children's grandparents. I seriously just love them!!! I want to be better because of them and I want to be more like them. 

We seriously had the best time with them this weekend. Jax will sob tomorrow when they leave. We might too... ahem.... And I know they truly love us because they left the 65+ degree Arizona to come to snowy 30 below Spokane. 

Landon: 

Really likes his Cardiology rotation 

Becca: 

Awesome RS Activity about marriage. Scouts--Blue & Gold. Date night with Landon--run 5 miles and Costa Vida Nachos 

Jax: 

Loves his Grandma & Grandpa dearly. That boy loves so deeply.  

Ty: 

Loves Ketchup. 

 Isn't it the best when your kids are asleep and you know they are safe and sound. I treasure nights right now

4 Valentines Dates

Becs: 

For Valentines Day I gave my boys 4 dates: 

Date #1: To Landon; take out Thai food & a netflix movie 

Date #2: To Jax & Landon; Date at the Mt. Spokane Ski Resort

Date #3: To Ty: Library and Tres Leches with mommy

Date #4: To Jax; Super Heroes Symphony with mommy

Sometimes I get jealous that Landon can walk in from work and the boys are instantly as happy as can be and it just seems blissfully easy to be dad and i'm like WHAT THE????.... this is so not fair. (Dont get me wrong, I LOVE that they LOVE their daddy). But sometimes mothering can feel like me spending every second of the day trying to be patient and calm while teaching emotions and how to recognize the spirit and know gospel things and manners and respect and kindness and sports and and creativity and gratitude and games... all while feeding them healthy food and keeping things organized that limiting screen time and controlling what comes into our space while cleaning and cooking and paying bills while trying to exercise and fill my own bucket with the spirit while serving people around me and magnifying my calling and trying to be a good friend, sister, daughter. And at the end of the day its like, "Did we even have any fun today?" So these dates were amazing for me. It was so nice to just have a few hours with each one of my boys and remember, "Oh yeah! Being a mommy is wonderful and all those other things i'm trying to manage day in and day out are worth it for the moments where Jaxy is sitting on my lap and i'm whispering a Batman/Joker story while the symphony is playing. And he is grinning from ear to ear." 

So I think we will make Valentines Dates a tradition in our family :). 

Lando: 

Is doing Cardiology this month. He was on call this weekend. He loved taking Jax skiing for his date. 

Jaxy: 

Loved skiing and the symphony. He told me after our date, "Mom this was just too much fun!" He also loved going to two of his friends birthday party 

Ty Ty: 

Is the cutest dancer ever. He is obsessed with his big brother and is sincerely sad when Jaxy isnt around. He loves all things sweet. And he is just so so sweet himself. 

30.

Landon had this week off and we had a little stay-cation without our boys and then with our boys. Landon also turned 30! So I thought i'd highlight the week with a list of 30. 

1. I had an Ultrasound to see how my body responded to a new medication 
2. Landon took the boys to get new nurf footballs
3. We dropped our happy boys off at the Hobsons 
4. We ran 9 miles together in the beautiful 45+ degree Lewiston weather 
5. I turned my phone off for 5 days, it was amazing 
6. We listened to Harry Potter on our way back to Spokane
7. We had the BEST pizza ever. The Fairview
8. We fell asleep & woke up in a kidless home, and it felt nice, and rejuvenating 
9. We did Sealings with 4 cute older couples. It made me happy 
10. We went and saw Rogue 1 
11. We had our favorite Charcuterie board 
12. We went back to the theaters and saw Lion. Amazing. Seriously, amazing. 
13. We accidentally slept in til 11:08am. I had no idea I was capable of such laziness. 
14. We went to my favorite restaurant for Lunch. I just love, love, love, really good burgers
15. We went night skiing. 
16. We had the BEST pizza ever. Again 
17. We drove back to lewiston and were greeted by the happiest boys, thank you Hobsons 
18. We spend the night at the Hobsons, since... well... we love them! 
19. We ate the "2013 National Grilled Cheese Invitational Winner" aka The Potsticker Meltz
20. We went to the coolest Recreation Center in Coeur D'Alene as a family all afternoon. 
21. We cuddled and watched Jaxy's favorite show together
22. I woke up early to get Landon's birthday breakfast prepared 
23. We sang happy 30th birthday to Daddy 
24. Landon ran 18 miles
25. The boys & I went on a shopping spree for Landon. 
• Bought 30 items for him to try on so he doesn't have to go shopping himself. We plan on returning most of them :)... hopefully :l....... ahem. 
26. Jax took Landon to see the new Lego movie for his birthday
27. We went back to Landon's favorite restaurant for some more delicious Charcuterie boards
28. We went to the Symphony 
29. We went to church and felt uplifted, edified, and strengthened
30. My three boys are now napping and i'm here.

Pretty much the best Staycation ever had! We just had a blast on Landon's week off. He is feeling slightly old, so if you see him, wish him a happy 27th ;).
