I Choose Faith

Landon

Loves this little guy so much. And this little guy loves him. Landon changed into this after school one day. He had to go to a meeting for church. Once jax saw the outfit, he went upstairs all by himself and grabbed this shirt and those pants. It melted our hearts! I hope Jax turns out to be just like his daddy one day;).

Landon basically studied up until five thirty Saturday afternoon! He was able to go learn a little bit more about the Bishops Storehouse Thursday night. He also went to Jacob's Eagle Scout project Saturday morning. Jax and I went too, but the wind was blowing so hard so we stayed in the car and pressed every button possible. At least four times ;).

Becca

Jax and I had the best jax morning. In pretty sure these mornings are more for me than him. But we ventured out into the "feels like" -22 and went to Barnes and Noble. We played with trains, read books, and ate a vanilla cupcake. I also had fun taking tiff out to lunch for her birthday.

I just got home from a fireside with the youth in our church. The 2014 theme is Moroni 10:32Come Unto Christ! There were a lot of great things said, but my favorite line was, "Fear is a close relative to unhappiness." I LOVED THAT! We must all have faith. Faith that we can do hard things. Faith that The Lord will help us. Faith that we are loved. Faith that we will one day see Christ and our Heavenly Father again. If fear is a relative to unhappiness. That means faith is a relative to happiness. I choose faith!!

Jaxson

I don't know if I have ever told anyone, but I'm kind of obsessed with people's profiles. I think jax's is adorable! Jax was lucky this week. He got to hang out with so many of his friends and have a fun jax morning!! He loves going to the grocery store with me. And I actually really love taking him:). He currently loves veggie burgers thanks to Hailey and Sarah. He also really likes dressing himself now. He cooks with me every evening. This week Jax ate, fish, capresee pizza, vegetable chili, General Tso chicken, spring rolls, a basil egg ham breakfast burrito, and I don't know... More. But I'm just really impressed at how much he will eat and I really think that him helping me cook all these meals really helped his liking of it.

That's all! Just for the record we at happy and freezing(Indy is know for being in the top 20 coldest cities)!!! The weather really is awful right now. See you next week.

Oh P.s. Just a quick story:
On Thursday evening I was happily making dinner while Jax was happily watching t.v. I realize mid cooking, that he had probably been watching too long. So I went and shut the computer. He had a immediate melt down. Honestly I didn't want to deal with that so I immediately opened the computer back up and went back to the kitchen.
About five minutes later I just really wanted him to stop watching. So I walked into the family room and said, "Jax! I love you and I really think you should stop watching. It's up to you." Then I went back into the kitchen and forgot all about it.
Five minutes late jax ran in, jumping and smiling and said, "MOM!! Mommy. Come. Watch. Picture. Couch." I was like what? Did he draw on the couch? So I ran in there with him. Only to find him on the ground, pointing underneath the couch saying, "see! Picture. Couch. Here!" I dropped to my knees and opened my arms!!! "Bud I'm so proud of you! You turned off the t.v!!!  You put the computerbhnder the couch! I'm sooo proud of you. Good job!! I love you!!!" His excitement was the best. He knew he had done something right and jumped up and down for five minutes. He was so so happy!! So was I. I loved him no matter what, but i was off the charts proud of him at that moment.
I know he won't always make the right choice, but I'd like to think that this choice is who he is. I also like to relate this to my relationship with God. I'm so much happier when I do what's right. And I know God loves me knows matter what, but there are times when he is more proud of me than others.
Anyway, jax! You are the bomb!!

Our Saturday Morning

The Circumstances Haven't Changed, I Have!!

This week was SOOO great!! And of course it ended with a lovely snow storm. Even though I hate the freezing, I love LOVE the snow!

LANDO, the STUDier

Landon did so great this week. He had 20 classes, with the longest one being 4 hours. He studied for classes for about 40 hours and studied for Step 1 (Med School Boards) for about 15 hours. He also did some things for his calling throughout the week, he played church ball on Saturday, he got his temple recommend, had dinner with us every night but Friday, and cuddled with me on the couch while we watched The Bachelor, Hart of Dixie, and Psych! He doesn't LOVE studying, in fact I wouldn't say he even LIKES studying either, but I think he really enjoys hard work. He is being an amazing provider and priesthood holder for me and Jax!!

BECS the MOMmy!

I had such a great week!!! My three favorite parts were:
1: I got to hang out the some of my favorite people Tuesday Night. I work with the youth in my church and its really an honor to be able to watch them grow, learn from them, and love them. I am really amazed by all of them and their desire to try their best to follow the standards in the For Strength of Youth. Anyway, basically I love them!!
2:  For the "Jax and Me" morning, we went to the library. We read books, built puzzles, and played with the computer. Then we drove to sonic (having to make a pit stop on the way because someone needed to go to the bathroom. P.S. It wasn't me. P.P.S. I love having a boy) and we got a Cheese sandwich and a Corn dog. Jax and I watched frozen songs over and over again in the back seat of the car.
3: Hanging out with Lando Friday and Saturday night. I feel so so blessed to have him. And even if I don't get him as much as I would like, I still have him. And I think he's amazing! My better half. Jax and him... yeah... they are my world. And I am soooo blessed!!!
Honorable Mention: Was when Jax and I went grocery shopping and we had such a fun time in the store. I walked out of walmart thinking, "That was such a fun hour." Then I realized my car lights were on, then as I got closer I realized the inside car lights were on, then I got a little closer and I heard a soft humming. YEP!! I left my car on, running, the entire time I was in walmart. WHAT??? I need someone with me at all times.

JAX the SLEEPer
He has this weird obsession with pretending to sleep. Just in the middle of mid sentence he will say, "Mommy, mommy sleep. Here" and he'll go and grab pillows and blankets and lay down and snore. He also has this weird thing about yelling at me when I try to put my hair up. "Mommm NO! Hair on!" He'll say. Such a weirdo. We are having so much fun together me and him. He has started to take naps in "Daddys Bed." He gets three chances to to fall asleep or he has to go to his crib. I lay there with him til he falls asleep. Its been so fun!!

Anyway we are happy. I am thankful for the strength and comfort from the Lord. I believe in the power of prayer. I've been so much more consistent with my prayers lately and I think that is a big reason why I am sooo much happier. The circumstances hasn't changed, I have. The power we have to create our own circumstances and our own happiness with the help from the Lord is amazing!

Sorry for smashing your cupcake Bre. It was soo an accident!!)

Blue icing does come off your face FYI

I pulled out my Tea Set collection. I haven't looked at them since my senior year of high school. It was so fun!

I've been playing/practicing the piano so much lately

I read this book this week and ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!! I ordered her other book immediately after I finished this one
